Damascus.
Arrive to Damascus airport. To be met & assisted by your assigned guide.Transfer to your hotel for dinner & O/N. |

| Day 2 |
Damascus.
An entire day dedicated to visit the attractions of Damascus. The National museum, Tukia Al Sulamaineh , a Turkish 16th century Koranic school converted into a handicraft center, The Omayyad mosque, Saladin tomb, The Folklore museum, The straight street of Damascus, St Anania’s chapel & St.Paul’s window. The end of the day is highlighted by doing a nice visit to Qasioun mountain to view Damascus. Above the city level. Back to your hotel for dinner & O/N. |
| Day 3 |
Damascus/ Ma’aloula/ Crac Des Chevaliers/ Hama.
After breakfast, we drive to Hama, the famous giant Waterwheels town. On the way, we stop for a pleasant visit to Ma’aloula, the virgin village whose native tongue is Aramaic, the very language of Jesus Christ. Another great stop is in Crac Des Chavaliers ( the castle of knights) the crusade eagle nest whose like has never been found. Lunch if included in the top of the castle ( in the king’s daughter tower restaurant). Arrive Hama , and exactly( the Norias ) to hear an unceasing sound , like the creaking of a bullock cart rises from the river banks to permeate the narrow streets and pervade the whole town . Arrive to your hotel in Hama for dinner & O/N. |
| Day 4 |
Hama/ Apamea/ Saladin castle/ Ugarit/ Hama.
After breakfast, we depart Hama for the forested mountain of the coast. Visit a fine Hellenistic and Roman city ( Apamea ) on the way , the splendid site which over dominates the whole gap valley. We visit the 1 mile colonnaded street, the mosaic museum, the remains of the Byzantine cathedral & the palace. We drive on the serpent road to visit Saladin castle built on a top of a hill and separated from the surrounding hills by deep ravines cut in the rock. We proceed to Lattakia in the after-noon to visit Ugarit a seafarers kingdom whose mighty men conquered the very east coast of American 2800 before it was discovered by Christopher Colombos. Back to your hotel in Hama for dinner & O/N. |
| Day 5 |
Hama/ Ebla/ St.Simeon/ Aleppo.
After breakfast, we drive north to Aleppo. On the way we visit the gorgeous mosaics housed in 17th century fabled caravanserai. Before proceeding to Aleppo we see & hear an interesting comment on the discovery of the kingdom of Ebla ( Tell Mardikh ) which yielded 17000 clay tablets of cuneiform. Arrive to Aleppo for lunch. After-noon we drive to the limestone hills to visit the imposing cathedral dedicated to St.Simeon.who spent 42 years on top of a column under the blazing sun , in the bitter cold , and exposed to all the mountain winds. The picturesque view of the surrounding valley contributes a lot to the general atmosphere.Transfer to Aleppo for dinner & O/N. |

Aleppo.
After breakfast,We start our visit to Aleppo , which was a key town on the trade routs for thousands of years , and still uses for local and regional trade , so in order to start with the city tour, a visit will be made to the unique Archeological museum & to the impregnable Citadel of Aleppo whose deep moat once was filled with the bodies of the Mongol upon invasion in the mid of 13th century . Continue the visit to the colorful bazaars & to the Grand mosque & the old caravanserai . Back to your hotel for dinner & O/N . |
| Day 7 |
Aleppo/ Jabar/ Rasafa/ Raqqa/ Deir Ezzor.
Today’s drive is eastward to the antique eternal Euphrates river, the locals believe that this river is the gift of God to the human kind as it is one of the rivers of paradise. We visit the Abbassid castle of Jabar, then we head south to visit the ruins of Rasafa which represent the summit of the renaissance era of Christianity. Continue our drive to Raqqa for a short visit . The dinner is in your hotel in Deir-Ezzor. O/N. |
| Day 8 |
Deir Ezzor/ Dura Europos/ Mari/ Deir- Ezzor/ Palmyra.
Breakfast. This morning we follow the down stream of the Euphrates to get into Dura-Europos which was a fort, a caravan post and a flourishing city whose temples were dressed from the inside with fine pieces of gorgeous frescoes. Later on, we continue driving by the waterside downstream till we get to the excavated site of the 3rd millennium. Mari, the king’s legendary palace was consisted of 300 rooms in which many temples, kitchens, royal quarter, administrative quarter & the oldest classroom for children were discovered . Driving to visit Ibn-Maan castle to see the sun drops over the horizon. Drive to your hotel to end the day by having a nice dinner & peaceful O/N. |
| Day 9 |
Palmyra/ Damascus.
After breakfast, we do a very short driving to explore the ruins of Palmyra, the deep rooted Semitic village which was grown up by the contribution of the Silk Road and climaxed by Queen Zanobia . We visit the temple of god Bel,( one of the finest monuments in all the east dates back to 1930 ) the archeological museum, some of the tombs, the arch of triumph & the viarecta, etc......Lunch is in a local restaurant ( if included ). We continue our visit to Diocletian camp. Back to Damascus for dinner & O/N. |
| Day 10 |
Damascus/ Shahba/ Sweida/ Bosra/ Damascus.
After Breakfast, we leave for a full day excursion to the most barren area in Syria to get to Shahba , Sweida & Bosra where Rome , Byzantium and Islam all meet. We will visit the astonishing Roman theater, baths, Lantern gate, Qulaibeh, the underground market & the Wind gate. Then we get to Damascus for dinner & O/N. |

Departure.
Transfer to the airport for departure. |
