| Day 2 |
Damascus / Bosra / Sweida / Shahba / Damascus.
An easy morning to visit the ruins of Bosra which seems to have fallen asleep cause of the roughly - hewn blocks of stone black houses and amid black rocks , (The best preserved Roman theater in the world,( a Roman theater in an Arab Citadel ),the gate of the Wind, the Main avenue, the Underground market,the Lantern gate, Al Omari mosque, The Byzantine cathedral, etc.) we head to Damascus through the Druze mountain. Sweida & Shahba are to be visited on the way. O/N. |
| Day 3 |
Damascus.
After breakfast, we start a full day sightseeing of Damascus The city which has grown up between an oasis and Jabal Qasioun to include the national museum, the folklore museum, Omayyad mosque,built by Caliph Al-Walid on 708 A.D. the street called Straight mentioned in the Bible, St.Ananias chapel & St.Paul’s window. Free time to stroll in the oriental atmospheric bazaars. The end of the day in highlighted by a visit to Qasioun mountain ( whose slopes are now covered with houses ) for a full panoramic view of Damascus. Back to the hotel O/N |
| Day 4 |
Damascus/ Crac Des Chevaliers/ Tartous/ Lattakia.
After breakfast, we drive northward to visit the Crusade castle (Crac Des Chevaliers) & to have a break for lunch in the king’s daughter tower The After-noon is dedicated to visit Tartous which is faced by the antique Phoenician Arwad island, the Cathedral of our lady which was raised up by the mighty Crusaders is to be visited.After the visit we drive over on coast highway to get to Lattaka. Dinner & O/N. |
| Day 5 |
Lattakia/ Ugarit/ Apamea/ Hama/ Ebla/ Aleppo.
Before leaving Lattakia, we will see the excavated site of Ugarit which was a prosperous kingdom in the 2nd millennium B.C. , and where the thirty-letter alphabet found , Then we drive east to visit Apamea , located in the heart of the golden Ghab ,and to stop in Hama for visiting the Waterwheels of the city. Drive to Aleppo, visiting on the way the excavated site of the kingdom of Ebla ( destroyed in about 1600 B.C.which is considered a U-turn in the history of mankind as a library of 17000 of clay tablet of cuneiform was brought to light after 4300 years of decay. On the way to Aleppo pass the unique beehives villages. Arrive to your hotel for dinner & O/N. |

Aleppo.
After breakfast, we drive into the core of the city of Aleppo , that leaves the profoundest impression upon the visitor, on which stands the gigantic Islamic medieval Citadel of Aleppo ,that reflects the glory of Islam in it’s heydays. The Grand mosque of Aleppo which was burned down in the 10th cent. Is to be visited before making a visit to the archeological museum of Aleppo. Lunch is in a typical Aleppo restaurant.( if included ). After lunch we continue visiting the wonders of Aleppo represented by its medieval souqs & caravanserais stuffed with all kinds of goods & colors. Back to your hotel for dinner & O/N. |

Aleppo/ St.Simeon/ Ain Dara/ Aleppo.
Today is an exiting excursion to the green plain of Aleppo where hundreds of Dead cities are silently narrating the history of a prosperous Byzantine past. Your prime visit is to Al.qatura ruins and to the 5th cent. Cathedral of St.Simeon the stylite who spent 42 years of outdoors prayers and meditation on a top of a pillar. Later on, drive to visit the Aramaic site of Ain Dara, a Huge bas-reliefs of mythological animals still guarding the temple of goddess Ishtar. Back to your hotel for dinner & O/N. |

Aleppo / Rasafa / Raqqa / Halabia & Zalabia / Deir Ezzor.
After breakfast, we drive east to visit the ruins of Rasafa which was built out of a rose-colored marble encrusted with gypsum. Afterward, visit the Abbasid site of Al-Raqqa, , which stands on the left bank of the Euphrates river , whose primitive foundation was on the hands of Alexander the great. Continue the visit down stream the Euphrates to Halabia& Zalabia, two sites flourished during the region of Queen Zanobia. Arrive to your hotel in Deir-Ezzor for dinner & O/N. |
| Day 9 |
Deir Ezzor / Dura Europos/ Mari/ Deir- Ezzor/ Palmyra .
This day, you visit Dura-Europos , the second importation post on the Silk Road after Palmyra. We continue the visit to the kingdom of Mari to see the excavated palace of King Zimri lim, the temple of goddess Ishtar, Nini Zaza temple & the Zaqurat. A full day sightseeing of Palmyra to include the museum, the tomb, the famous arch of triumph, the temple of god Bel, the viarecta, check at your hotel, dinner & O/N. |
| Day 10 |
Palmyra.
After breakfast, we do a very short driving to explore the ruins of Palmyra, the deep rooted Semitic village which was grown up by the contribution of the Silk Road and climaxed by Queen Zanobia. We visit the temple of god Bel,( one of the finest monuments in all the east dates back to 1930 ) the archeological museum, some of the tombs, the arch of triumph & the viarecta, etc...... Lunch is in a local restaurant .( if included )We continue our visit to Diocletian camp. dinner & O/N. |
| Day 11 |
Palmyra/ Ma’aloula/ Saydnaya/ Damascus.
After breakfast, we drive to Ma’aloula village, which is one of the most picturesque villages in Syria .The people there still speak the Aramaic Language spoken by Jesus Christ. Their colorful houses are built on the cliff face like nests. We visit the early Byzantine church, Saint Tecla Monastery and the split.Continue to Saydnaya , which has indeed grown up around an important convent founded in 547 A.D. and dedicated to the blessed Virgin ( the Church of our Lady ), an icon painted by St.Luke the Evangelist is hidden in a silver box in the monastery.Driving to your hotel in Damascus for dinner & O/N. |

Damascus.
This is a free day to explore the city’s old lanes on your own & to stroll through the teeming bazaars of Damascus. Another good choice is to do an excursion to Ba’albek in Lebanon. |

Departure.
Transfer to Damascus airport for departure. |
